A delegation led by Wan Gang, vice chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and minister of science and technology, recently visited the University of Macau (UM). The delegation was warmly received by UM University Council Chair Lam Kam Seng, Rector Wei Zhao, and Vice Rector (Research) Rui Martins. Both parties exchanged ideas on the development of scientific research at UM and the university’s educational philosophy. Rector Zhao told the guests about UM’s latest developments, academic structure, the ‘4-in-1’ model of education, and residential college system. Members of the delegation visited UM’s State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI (AMS-VLSI Lab) and UM Wu Yee Sun Library.
